Given all the red flags the story brings up regarding Kvashuk, the real takeaway here is that Microsoft's HR department is massively incompetent, and that there are probably hundreds or thousands of other people as bad as this guy working for the company that are in the process of doing similar things, for which they may or may *not* eventually be busted. And I'm not even trying to single out Microsoft in that regard. The whole tech industry has been pushing to "fail fast" with a "minimum viable product". Quality and security are out the door in favor of cost savings in all areas of the supply chain. It's just been getting worse and worse for *at least* the last 20 years. This kind of fraud should not surprise anyone who has been paying attention. Nor should the recent rash of ransomware attacks. I shudder to think where all this goes after the pandemic, given all the stories I'm seeing with companies complaining how hard it is to fill job openings. The paradoxical-but-correct thing to do in this situation is to raise the bar, but I've only seen them lowering it, and that just means things will go from bad to worse. c12e54fd1eb21d027df3e0faf352d89783b5f99c5e4b233f959fdac6ec104173
