Paranoia is irrational, so it's really just a question of whether or not you can get past that. I mean, what bit rot have you *actually* experienced? Has it affected a large percentage of your redundant copies of the data? Are their any factors involved that are under your control that could reduce the loss (local storage quality, network connection, etc.)?
